Winter in Paris
Sunday, 25th March @ 4:00PM • filed under: Travel Diary-ies
it seems like March is another empty page.
I’ve always forgot to mention, theExquisisticBox is 3years old already!!! It’s been a week already, but i always forgot to announce it’s birthday! My bad :S
I’m left with three weeks of school for my forth Master year. Surrounded with tons of crappy assignments, totally bored and pissed…. So instead i kinda cheered myself by shopping. LOOOOOL
I said i wanted to update on my short paris trip. Here I am, putting in more effort in styling my photos
I don’t have a lot nicely taken photos. A lot of them are taken when i was in the car :S Just enjoy huh

As you may have know, Im quite into cars
I always get excited when I spot a AMG or a Bentley. There I go, spotting a Bentley on the sideroad without much care… :S I can’t help thinking about how reckless drivers could scratch the pretty body :S

Driving through the famous round-about at Arc de triomphe!

Didn’t actually do a lot, simply wondering around, searching for suffs- Then it’s the night already!

Definitely can’t miss out browsing Louis Vuitton… their spring collection is soo colorful
I found myself one of their leather jackets to die for. But it is way too expensive for me to buy it in this life, LOL

Definitely can’t miss out Mercedes Showroom!
AMGGGGG

They also have the white one, but the white one is the normal gullwing one.

After a longgggg day, dad can’t miss out eating at China town in the 13th district. Roasted pork intestine. I kinda cannot take this one, the smell is too strong :X

This is another restaurant the next day…. noodles for brunch :D

My “Ba-chor-mee”, then again, it seems like we mistook our order. Cuz it isn’t the same “ba-chor-mee” that I originally wanted.

They also have Xiao Long bao… but they are not the same as Singapore’s with soup in it :S
Bilbao!
Saturday, 29th October @ 8:54PM • filed under: Travel Diary-ies
I just realized how little posts there are this october! Thanks to the little field trip last saturday, I have zillions of photos; which i’ve selected 30+ of them to share
So yeah; kinda last minute plan to get almost everything done on friday night. Seriously, the Bilbao trop dropped on a very bad date, which led to a very difficult time this week in the beginning. I practically slept at 1am friday night and had to be up by 5 to leave the house to reach school for the meeting at 6.45AM! The worse case was that, i originally had to to take my train at 5.38am, but it turned out that there wasn’t a train that early on saturday. I had to trouble dad to fetch me to school at such wee hours, and then to pick me up at night when the distance to cover is soo far!

In order to make our transport price cheaper, our teacher decided that the trip would be open to everyone from school. We ended with 51 passengers with a little less than half of those youngsters.
In the morning, our trip there, the bus was reasonably quiet and peaceful because practically everyone is sleeping!
I took my chance at snapping photos through the window seat to get a nice shade of the morning sky!
First stop was to the Guggenheim Museum, luckily we managed to get free entrance, but the sadder part would be cameras are forbidden, even if there where other tourists who managed to snap photos. But my camera was too difficult to get out of my bag with all my stuffs
From lunch time onwards, it was free and easy, I didn’t really had time to prepare sandwiches, so I had to go around searching for shops to buy something to eat, and meanwhile, i came upon wedding couples!

I had this super lucky shot to have a clear front shot of the bride! I think she saw me though
Then, I found this kebab store together with Clementine and decided to try it out, but goodness, THEY WERE SLOW LIKE HELL! Every moment took like 3minutes instead of 3 seconds!
It took us 30minutes to get our kebab and wrap done! Plus watching them get our kebab done. I can’t be assured by their level of hygienes. I was wondering if i would get sick or something, but PHEW! i’m all fine

This is my long waited wrap! The taste is pretty good, but a little bit too salty. Lucky it taste good,
If not i’d be complaining like mad!

Then poof! Another bride around the corner
Looks like wedding couples like to go to Bilbao for their wedding photoshoots!
Ah, didn’t snap a shot of how long that wrap is, couldn’t finish it, it was way too much for me; but i still managed to finished it till it left like 2cm of wrap left.
Time for work! The main purpose of coming to Bilbao was to snap photos based on the theme Guggenheim building. O.o Kinda expensive as an assignment,
(Photo heavy post!)

Opposite of the river, those 2 mega hugee mansions, woo, if i were rich! I would wanna live there, with my collection of pretty cars, LOL Plus those bright orangy/red autumn leaves made the whole mansion looked a lot cooler

Lucky chance to snap photos when they let of those mist around the bridge
Just after, I had to walk up a super scary tower! Goodness, it was soo scary for me that i couldn’t do anything without MJ holding my hands! YAD The tower was made with simply metal bars, those see through grill bars – i don’t know what is it called
Overall, there’s a lot of holes where you can see the ground below like 10 stories below
Mad scary, I couldn’t take it. Had to quickly get out to a solid place

Part of a hugeee bridge.. makes everything more stable; YET! When a bus zoomed pass, the whole bridge seems to be like shivering

I just love this street. It looks soo different, compared to Bordeaux or Singapore,

The famous art piece of Jeff Koons, floral dog!
And my favorite style of photos

Waiting for everyone to meet up at the meeting point for departure, MJ, Annabelle and Clementine.

Highways in Spain
I love those little houses; they are soo cute!

Well, really time to go home?! Driver had to pay toll fees
It has been a long long time that I have not been out for a road trip. It’s best to go with dad’s renault espace.
The return trip was horrible. Those youngsters are horribly noisy, they couldn’t stop shouting and laughing out, really loud. Plus it was really uncomfortable; the whole bus became a lot more squeezy somehow :X
That’s it! My first field trip after three years! Tsk tsk,
I heard they wanted to organize another one to go to Paris somewhere in Nov. But it seems too impossible; plus it’d cost 150€ at least, way too much; especially it’s only for the transport itself
I’m never going to fork out that 150€… its way too much.
Yeeeeeha! FREE!

it’s the enddd of my internship. i literally had a mini-celebration earlier on the 13 july; and a harry potter hang out with isabelle. since both of us are the only ones who are still working that moment. a couple of rants,
internship; thinking twice again, i mean real seriously. i haven’t really learn much in fact. i got a new prove that sometimes i design without thinking. LOL well, i know that can happen. my understanding towards jQuery improved by erm- 5%? nothing much in fact, things i already know. the only thing to it was experiencing real projects, irritating clients that absolutely want to keep their horrible ideas….
the saddeest part would be not being paid. 6 weeks of free labour. what law is this in France? free labour from students? this law should be removed immediately!
< ! — Harry Potter Spoiler Alert — ! >
watching the last harry potter. i’m somehow left with a hole
because i practically grew up with harry potter. it’s so weird now that i know the films’ ended, and i won’t be able to look forward to it anymore :( it’d be nice if they did a drama version. showing every details. but it’d be impossible. deathly hallows lacked a lot of details. they chopped off many parts. basically about the battles. i mean, we didn’t even see how fred/remus/tonks died! that aside, i cried pretty much ;X I already expected that before entering the cinema. especially the part where Harry visit Snape’s memory. When Snape found out that Voldemort had killed the Potters. Goodness, even recalling the scenes inside my head would start to make me teary
And the part where Harry decides to die, when the spirits of his loved ones appear.
When the dvd is out, i’d definitely get the “part 7″
alright, besides that, check out the day
1h30mins of lunch break that day;
Went to FUFU ;D Japanese ramen store; crowded as always. Expensive but delicious home-made ramen.
Geez, i’m hungry already. that’s what you get for having 2 tiny pieces of belgium waffles for dinner! afternoon was pretty hard. getting distracted, etc- Waiting for 6pm everyday. Staring at my twitter app whenever Zhenfu or Eunice says “pang kang” LOL

Isabelle’s

Mine ;3
Hadn’t much luck that day. By some weirdo law- Haagen-Dazs had already stopped serving at 7.30pm! So you had to go inside to order, and then- you get paper plates
Kinda spoils the whole thing. But on another hand. I managed to use my points in my Haagen Dazs club card. The lady said “Ohh; you can get ANYTHING you want” LOOOL; and my remaining points can still allow me to have ANYthing in the shop for FREE :D
Time to update my expenditures/agenda for the day- tsk tsk; i spent soo much on food during this 6weeks overall! Isabelle’s had so much luck with her company that she even have restaurant tickets and SALARY! Restaurant ticket’s worth 8euros! So she basically can eat in any restaurant almost free.
So we left- and decided to go to Mirrior d’eau and play with my awesome EOS 60D
I suggested jump shots, but erm- it was kinda embarrassing, cuz end up everyone look at us ;X Somehow my tummy is exposed.
:D Testing different settings to get it right for the water splashes, i loveeee this one, because it somehow takes the shape of isabelle’s skirt
Obviously we had to play with my newww and pretty head accessory. HAHA; my headphones :D mega awesome :D
I know i’m damn slow, but i’m still editing and picking out SM Town Paris’ photos. I’m very late on updates! *sorry!*
