Yummiliscious Fufu Noodle bar 1 Note 31st Oct

finally! first term break ;)
been waiting for a long while. the last week before break is as horrible as always ARGH it’s over now; but right now i’m so unmotivated and lost D:
A little night out with buddies for a mini reunion, since we are not in the same class anymore!

A super coincidence to meet Claire-marine and Emmanuelle at H&M store. Caught up a little and started shopping together. And i came upon this chapka! Tried on it, and love it! All of them were totally so in into getting me buy this chapka! Eventually i bought it. The only thing would be how would i be using my mega huge headphones?! I tested out whether I could put my dr dre over it. I could, but all the sound is leaking D:
Then i thought about it, the next time i get my pay, I’d get one of the beats by dr dre’s In Tour earpiece. But they still cost a bomb. 150€++
Oh well, wait a little more…

By the time we reached the restaurant, it was already full house! Had to wait outside for a like 20-30minutes! The wait’s worth it though! Had serious trouble deciding between Tantanmen or Ebi Yakisoba. The noodle bar restaurant is called “Fufu”. They are famous for their home made ramen, which tastes really awesome, the texture~~ way too nice. In the end, i settled with Tantanmen, because it’s a soup noodle and it was kinda cold outside.

It’s a japanese noodle bar, so their cook’s are mainly japanese. I think the first guy is the main cook. I think… because most of the noodle stuffs, he’s the one cooking. Ah, I said that it’s a noodle bar, come to think of it, I don’t see noodle bars like this in Singapore either, it feels more like the Ichiraku in Naruto. So you just sit in front of chefs and wait for your noodle bowl to be ready!

Their menu. I think that it’s kinda expensive considering that it’s only for a bowl of noodles. The portion looks huge, and they are the only noodle bar here in Bordeaux, so even if they are expensive, a lot of people still drop by!

Yummiliscious TWG – 24th Aug 0 Note 29th Sep

weee! imma continue with my outdated posts! i just have to blog about these events! in case i ever forgot myself :X
After a luxurious night; time for high tea! LOL Jean wanted to try out their macaroons :) And ever since i went back to singapore, i noticed some TWG boutiques while touring.

their teas tastes amazing. the sweetness, the fragrances… etc; just amplifies the power of “being on holiday”, LOL
but then since it’s called high tea, it’s rather expensive. S$12 per teapot, per person.. i think that it’d be a once a month experience. And S$36 a box! I don’t know how many cups/pots of tea can you make with that 1 little box, but it was way too expensive for my to splurge on -.-

Their macaroons! actually we kinda got scolded for photographing their food/interior etc, until we said that we would be eating in. -.-

Mooncakes! Festival was around the corner, i think they are those snow-skin types. Though until now, i’ve never tasted snow-skin (冰臂 ) mooncakes

And their pastries. I was more for their pastries instead :)

Journal, Yummiliscious Master 1 0 Note 25th Sep

woah, just 1 week of my first master year is gone. D: i’d say that the week was slow like hell.
remember my complains over a seriously boring/useless lesson over the two years? well; during that time, that lesson lasted for 2hours PER WEEK! this term, has 5hours of those lessons PER WEEK, i feel like dying. goodness, i hope i’d be able to make it through…

*sighss**

it has never been part of my culture to learn more about film directors, etc. in Singapore, how many of you really cared about who’s the director?! who’s the scriptwriter? who’s the visual effects director?! I doubt out of ten, only one really did that.
yet its’ totally opposite in France, everyone knew which film belongs to which director etc etc… lots of literature titles, where as I; KNOW NOTHING…
then, going ahead with image analyzing… okay, consider the fact that i don’t know how to crap. So again, i suck in image analyzing. Classmates and teachers came out with a zillions of descriptives, while I…. i only had like max 10 sentences…

worse part of the whole thing is, everyone’s gotta keep a “memoire”
a self-study book of all your image analyze for semiology- and of all things, the most-difficult teacher being assigned to that. let’s hope that i won’t fail this memoire, i got a feeling that it’d be so damn horrible TT_TT
besides that, to survive all the 5hours per week, i’m dreading it so badly!

feels like there will be a number of competition going on. i’m hoping that we (since it’s always in groups these days) will manage to win something. thinking of the 8000euros for the first price is always awesome!

now then, let me continue my photo updates!

resort world part 2

well, after all the visits, time for dinner :)

Had the urge to go back to Din Tai Fung again, somehow, it’s the same restaurant, but it’s under another name, Baits!
Spicy cucumber for linmin!

Awesome 小龙包 to share, i love the soup in it. Though dad thinks that it’s a perfectly simple dish. The downside would be that if you leave it to the aircon for too long, the bun kinda dries up and it’d be hard!

My pork ribs fried rice. I never mention before right? I love fried rice, it’s the simplest thing ever, and it tastes good. But i hate it when there’s more ingredients than rice, after all, i’m quite the 饭桶 :P
